The characterization of dielectric materials allows for the extraction of permittivity and dielectric losses in order to assess their behavior under the influence of electromagnetic fields. The determination of complex permittivity can be carried out for various types of materials (liquid/solid, bulk/thin film) across frequency ranges from a few tens of MHz up to 110 GHz. This involves the use of resonant cells (single-frequency method) or transmission lines (broadband method).
